I stepped from the spotlight
Into strange arms and her kiss
(She tried to tickle my ivory)
Backing off, I explained
I'm not a hedonistic rock star.

Oh, I'm not a groupie, she crooned
I'm a well-adjusted self-actualized human being.
Taking her hand from my lap,
I admitted I have never self-actualized on the first date.
Smiling, nodding,
She demanded my next venue.
